COMMUNICATIONS and SOCIAL MEDIA
AFMC will continue to build a more sophisticated information and education program to reach the mass media sources within Arizona on a continual basis. AFMC’s website and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will be updated and monitored on a continuous basis to develop a more sophisticated database, to support geographical marketing. Explore technology options to facilitate interaction between members and groups, such as video conferencing, etc.
Establish action teams to work with those outside the AFMC to promote and advance our mission and agenda. Gather letters of support and signatures from individuals, government organizations and corporations. The signature sheet will include home and/or business address, zip code and email, so we have the capability of doing geographical marketing when seeking support from residents in specific / targeted areas.
Identify other industry trade organizations to join our cause and network with people who may be unaware of the AFMC and our goals. Educate the Legislature and the general public about our organization and legislation. Create a core group of speakers who can be available to talk to organizations as requested. Create a promotional/informational slide show or trailer for use on our website, at events, or theaters around the state. Gather letters of support from film companies (local, out-of-state, independent, studios, etc.)
Examine and acquire the financial needs of the organization to successfully accomplish its mission and actively encourage and promote donations and sponsorships from those supportive of our mission. Seek additional investors and financial sponsors with a vested interest in supporting our goals. To monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective. To take the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as chairing a dinner/dance committee or hosting fundraising parties, etc.
Develop and continue to update marketing tools for AFMC board members to use to further the education and goals of the organization. Work closely with other AFMC committees to create materials, including but not limited to, AFMC business cards, one-page Incentive summary, brochures about AFMC, banners, signature sheets, etc.
Engage in and create activities that will allow for growth of the AFMC membership base while also ensuring member retention. The membership committee will work to define the various membership categories which will provide more appropriate offerings for them in the future. The membership committee is focused on bring in new members into the AFMC.
